8 – Cinderella at Canberra Theatre
A wonderful production by the Queensland Ballet that’s sure to be a hit with kids and adults! 7 – Design Canberra Festival
DESIGN Canberra is a powerful platform promoting design and the work of designers. Over 150 events, exhibitions, talks, tours, activations, markets, collaborations, artist studios and open homes will once again transform the nation’s capital into a new platform for the best in design. The festival, now in its 6th year, is for all interests and ages and most events are free. Last year, it attracted a record 112,844 people!

6 – Yazz Wine Fest
Head along for a great afternoon of local Canberra District beverage makers offering their wines, spirits and beer, along with live music and local food providores. You’ll a glass to taste the wines, a bag large enough to hold four bottles, and a booklet for tasting notes with all the wineries contact details. There’s more than a dozen wineries attending, including Pankhurst Wines and McKellar Ridge Wines.

4 – International Science Centre and Science Museum Day
Questacon is offering half price entry for visitors on Sunday, in celebration of International Science Centre and Science Museum Day! Visitors can interact with robots, meet the astronaut under the moon, check out the new Earth Observations ramp display, learn more about space missions and liquid nitrogen and get a free slinky toy! 2 – Canberra Aqua Park Opening
Coming to Lake Burley Griffin is Canberra’s newest and most exciting outdoor inflatable attractions. Get ready to have an awesome day with friends, family or colleagues as you climb, splash, slip and slide through the giant inflatable obstacle course. Canberra Aqua Park is made up of slides, ladders, and the famous jumping pillow! Open till the end of March 2020.

1 – Queanbeyan Show
Littlies can cuddle a chick or watch a sheep being shorn at the Farmyard Nursery, while older kids will love the traditional sideshow alley with showbags, rides and competitions. There is plenty of country charm, with rural displays and food, music and entertainment. Stock up for Christmas at the Queanbeyan Market stalls or visit the model train and tropical fish displays. You can also cheer on your favourite competitor in the strongman competition, yard dog trials, horse events, woodchop, pig racing and more! At night the Show comes alive with fireworks and a special performance from Shannon Noll, as well as the rodeo!
