10 – Calisthenics ACT competition

Calisthenics ACT is holding its first teams competition for the year and you’re invited! Check out the range of dance routines choreographed to music. Calisthenics is for girls of all ages and helps develops fitness, co-ordination, grace, poise and teamwork. It teaches from an early age what it means to be a team member and how to develop confidence.

9 – International Blues Music Day

Canberra Blues Society celebrates the 6th annual International Blues Music Day with some of Australia’s best blues outfits, local and interstate. Wolf Mail & Milena Barrett Band, Jan Preston, Tomcat Playground, Christina Crofts Band, Minnie Marks, Julian James, Key Grip, Moondog Blues Band, The Barren Spinsters, Bamford Blues Blues On Tap & The Black Souls. The Hot Rods will be back with another fantastic display & there’ll be some great market stalls & raffle prizes.

8 – Light up Lyneham

Head along to help Light Up Lyneham with a Lantern Walk around the Lyneham wetlands! At Lyneham shops there’ll be live music and community stalls. Bring your friends and family, and make sure you rug up! Take a lantern to light your way or make one on the night.

7 – Luton Charity Ball

Book your ticket to what’s sure to be an amazing night, raising money for Hartley Lifecare, Project Independence and Karinya House. The theme this year is Tokyo. Dress black tie or neon. There’ll also be a Japanese performance drum band, a funky fedoras band, a Sake Bar, Karaoke competition, champagne bar and more!

6 – Australian Beard and Beer Day

Help celebrate this all-day event with funds raised going to Karinya house and Menslink. Put your best beard forward for your chance to win great prizes and the first prize of $500 CASH for the winner of category 5, The Best Beard 2018. Other categories include long beard, short beard, most creative beard and best moustache. There’ll also be face painting, live music and plenty of beer on tap.

5 – Muscle Up Charity Fight Night

This is more than just a Fight Night! Head along to help raise much needed funds for locals in the region suffering from Muscular Dystrophy. George Kapean from Fight to Fight will take on Amaeze Enyi from Stockade. There’ll also be boxing and kickboxing bouts – for what’s sure to be an action packed night!

4 –   Canterbury State League netball grand final

Canberra will meet Arawang in the 2018 Canterbury State League Grand Final. Canberra have had a consistent season all year, losing only two matches to Arawang. They will come out firing seeking to redeem their grand final loss from 2017. Head along to watch some impressive netball!

3 – 46th Annual Malkara Model Railway exhibition

This exhibition has been going for more than 45 years and is a terrific family day out! Enjoy the model train exhibits, great entertainment and yummy food stalls, all while raising money for new equipment for the students at Malkara public school. This is a great event for train aficionados or if you’re just looking for something interesting to do! There’ll be a huge range of model train layouts, miniatures and dolls houses. You can drive the u-drive-it trains, see the boats and submarines in the pool and ride the miniature steam train and merry go round. Stay for a sausage sizzle or hot dog while listening to a great array of performers over the two days.

2 – Gamma Con

GAMMA.CON is a not-for-profit event run by a dedicated group of volunteers focused on supporting the local and interstate anime and gamer community. A two day event dedicated to entertaining fans of TV, anime, movies, books, comics, gaming, technology and collectables. 1 – Braidwood Country Music Festival

Country Rocks Under the Stars is Australia’s newest music festival. This event offers a unique experience for fans of live music.
