9 – World Wetlands Day Celebrations

Head along to Jerrabomberra Wetlands for an exciting and fun-filled open day to celebrate World Wetlands Day! There’ll be a huge variety of stalls and activities for the family like ranger guided walks, kids activities, reptile displays, art exhibitions, Indigenous cultural activities, food, drinks and more!

8 – Subsdance Open Day

Ever wanted to learn to dance? It’s a great way to make new friends, get fit, learn something new and have fun! Subsdance Dance Studio in Kingston is putting on an Open Day, showcasing all the styles they offer with half hour classes back to back from 10am. And better yet, it’s FREE! Styles range from samba to dancehall to hip hop to contemporary. There’s something for everyone! 7 – Summer Sounds

Relax in the Botanical Gardens with a picnic and live music! There’ll be an outdoor concert, street stalls to buy dinner and drinks, or you can pack your own food and picnic blanket! Gypsy Jazz Project will play as the sun goes down on Saturday, with the Royal Military Band of Duntroon performing on Sunday. Jumptown Swing will also lead dance workshops on the lawn at 5pm and during intermission!

6 – Brumbies Meet the Players Day / Brumbies vs Rebels trial match

Meet the players along with Brumby Jack before they take to the field for their big trial match at Seiffert Oval! All the players will be at the Meet the Players Day, with fun activities for kids like the HART sport tackle zone, an obstacle course, kids zone and jumping castle. Junior Rugby Associations will also be there with info on the 2018 season. Then just hours later, watch the BRUMBIES begin their pre-season preparations against the Rebels in Queanbeyan in what’s sure to be an entertaining match!

5 – Bungendore Hoedown / Bungendore Country Music Muster

Get your hat and boots ready for the Bungendore Hoedown! There’ll be live music, bush dancing, line dancing, face painting, gumboot toss, tug of war, jumping castle, cowboy boot and hat comp, a flash mob, sausage sizzle and more!

Saturday February 3, 12pm-2pm at Anglican Church Paddock, Gibraltar St, Bungendore. Cost: free!

Then you can head right on over to the Bungendore Country Music Muster! Some of Australia’s best bush balladeers will be performing with the annual Stan Coster Memorial Australian Bush Ballard Awards presentation on the Saturday night!

4 – Sundaze at Canberra Olympic Pool

Everyone is welcome! Relax by the pool with live music and DJ’s every Sunday afternoon in February at Canberra Olympic Pool! There’ll also be an inflatable and jumping castles for the kiddies.

A free live music event of Googonian proportions! The stars will shine over Rockley Oval as house music dynamo The Aston Shuffle headline the big night of music and fun! Enjoy supporting performances by Sophie Edwards, Ned Philpot, Mondecreen and the Baker Boys Band. Take a picnic rug and settle in for a night of free live music under the stars. There’ll also be plenty of delicious goodies at the international food stalls on site. Stay for the big fireworks finale!
