10 – Sculpture in the Paddock

This great outdoor event features sculptures by talented artists and sculptors – all to celebrate art in our rural landscape! It’ll feature food stalls and entertainment on the weekends. This year’s event partners with Shaw Vineyard Estate in Murrumbateman – a stunning must-see location! A fabulous outing for all, just a short drive from Canberra. Be sure to take your camera!

9 – Waterways exhibition

Check out this new exhibition of paint, ink, stitch and textile works by five artists exploring the theme of waterways. The locations range from our local waterways, including Lake Burley Griffin, the South Coast and the English seaside. The official opening’s on Saturday September 29 from 2-4pm.

8 – Bungendore District Car Bike and Truck Show

The Bungendore and District Car, Bike and Truck show is on again! Car and bike entries entered on the day are $20. Can enter from 6am. There’ll also be bands playing all day, the annual drag race, drag cars, kids rides, stalls, food, drinks and more!

7 – Canberra Vikings vs Melbourne Rising

5 – Shrek the Musical

Shrek the Musical by Free Rain Theatre Company tells the story of Shrek and Fiona from the much-loved DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture. See Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and all the fairy tale characters come to life! A must-see for the whole family.

3 – Floriade

Australia’s favourite Spring festival is back! Visitors are invited to take a trip down memory lane as Floriade celebrates the best of pop culture. NightFest is underway, with Party NightFest on Saturday night and Comedy NightFest on Sunday. Another highlight this weekend is the harmonica workshop, and of course, the million plus blooms!

2 – Brickman Experience

The Southern Hemisphere’s biggest LEGO exhibition has arrived in the capital, with over 5 million lego pieces! Brickman Experience showcases some of Australia’s most detailed LEGO models, including the world’s largest LEGO flower! Visitors can also get involved by making their own creations!

Visit one of Murrumbateman’s premium cool climate family owned wineries! Check out the new cellar door – aimed at creating a wine tasting experience never seen before in the region. It really is a remarkable building!
