9 – Canberra Players League – Legends & All Stars

The annual match is being turned up a notch this year with the legendary Cal Bruton bringing basketball back to “The Palace”. The All Star games tip off from 3:30pm in the lead up to the Legends game at 7pm. The crowd can get involved with half court shots for cash! So head along to check out The Black Pearl, The Snake, B-Dub, G-Train and the rest of Cal’s Legends as they battle the CPL All Stars for the Legends Cup!

8 – National Wine Experience

This is your opportunity to taste over 1,000 of Australia’s best wines while enjoying some nationally acclaimed local produce! Cheer on the Canberra Cavalry as they continue their first home series of the season! 6 – Shave A Tradie

The community’s once again coming together to help the Potts family, as Annabelle goes back to Mexico for more cancer treatment. Aaron Dixon and Leigh Baker will shave their beards to raise funds. If they reach their $1,000 goal, they’ll also wax their chest! There’ll also be a sausage sizzle, raffle and auction. It’s sure to be a great family day out!

5 – Queanbeyan Swap Meet

A great weekend for car enthusiasts, collectors and anyone who loves bargain hunting! It includes the Big 3 Car Show (Ford, GM & Chrysler vehicles) and the American Car Nationals. Site holders travel from all over eastern Australia to sell their goods, with thousands of people expected through the gates. A fun family friendly event!

4 – Whatever Floats Your Horse

Tuggeranong Arts Centre will enliven the banks of Lake Tuggeranong with a day of fun and entertainment with an ‘animals’ theme! There’ll be yoga, zumba, comedy shows, a corgi knighting ceremony, a pet pageant, pet photo booth, face painting, mask making, heaps of food, stalls and more. Also, don’t miss the grand unveiling of ‘The Horse Float of Ideas’ – an old horse float transformed into a relocatable experimental art space by local artists and community groups.
