8 – Australian Plants as Bonsai Exhibition

Check out the display of over 30 bonsai by local and interstate artists! There’ll be a raffle and demonstrations at 2pm each day – showcasing the techniques involved in training Australian plants as bonsai. Join guided walks and visit full sized versions of species represented in the exhibition.

7 – Bungendore Harvest Festival

There’s heaps to see and do at the Bungendore Harvest Festival! Visitors can enjoy food, farming and fibre related activities designed to promote all the great things our region has to offer! 6 – Canberra Balloon Spectacular

Enlighten wraps up this weekend – with the Canberra Balloon Spectacular one of the highlights! More than 30 hot air balloons take to the skies of Canberra, including Kermie the frog and a colourful hummingbird. Pilots will inflate their balloons from 6:15am each day, weather permitting, on the lawns of Old Parliament House. Spectators can also enjoy a delicious hot brekkie on site from the Belconnen Lions Club.

5 – Art, Not Apart 2018

A free festival packed with performance art, music, installations, a street party, mash ups of art and science and after parties! The festival theme “Climax” will see an outburst of culture at several locations including NewActon, the Shine Dome and NSFA. Organisers have also stepped up the food and drink offerings, with some big names on board like Bar Rochford, Morks and the Cannoli Brothers, to name a few!

4 – Yass Show

The 2018 show will once again feature the usual favourites like antique farm machinery, shearing competition, yard dogs, woodchopping, vintage and veteran cars, show jumping, PBG bullride, a magician and lots of baby animals! You can also take your pets for the Pet Competition!

This fantastic event brings together over 260 talented artists, designers and producers from all over Australia to Canberra to showcase their handmade designs. Find something unique and well-priced. 2 – Raiders vs Knights
