9) 121st Philippine Independence Day Celebration
The Filipino Community Council of the ACT invites you to help celebrate the 121st Philippine Independence Day. There’ll be a three course dinner, a fashion parade of Philippine inspired costumes, dance, music performances and a raffle draw. Prizes up for grabs too!

8) Glow in the Dark Tennis
As the sun goes down the Queanbeyan Park Tennis Club tennis will be transformed into a ‘glow in the dark’ wonderland! This event is suitable for kids aged 6-12, with a teens event later this year. There’ll be a variety of tennis games run by coaches, a disco, party food, pizza and soft drinks. Parents can attend to supervise.

7) Waterloo at Murrumbateman
Be transported back to 1815 and witness the Battle of Waterloo! You will see a full Battle Reenactment, camp life and demonstrations of life during the Napoleonic Wars. Do all this whilst enjoying the food and wine on offer at Shaw Wines. Supporting local charity – Yass Valley CanAssist.

6) A Pooch Affair
Celebrate the 5th birthday of Canberra’s favourite Doggie Day Out! There’ll be High Tea with Dogs, a Doggie Day Spa, the Doggie Mall, stage shoes, adoption lane, loads of entertainment, best dressed competitions, a ball pit play area, pin the tail on the cat and heaps more! There’ll also be plenty of canine-compatible snacks and human treats on site.

5) Bend and Beers Yoga
Bend and Beers will combine traditional asanas (yoga poses) while knocking back a brew. The session ends with a thirst for more beer and a tour of the new brewery. The class is suited for all levels, including newbies! All you need is an open mind, a yoga mat and a love for beer.

3) World Juggling Day
The event will be hosted by JuggleHub (Canberra’s Community Juggling Club) to celebrate all types of juggling! The day will feature a fun collection of juggling activities including juggling workshops, passing, volley club, juggling olympics and open space to do your own juggling. If you haven’t juggled before there will be plenty of opportunities to give it a try! To cap off the day will be a combat juggling extravaganza called Fight Night where jugglers compete to be the last juggler standing!

2) Brumbies vs Reds
The Brumbies are hoping for a strong vocal crowd when they take on the Reds in the final home match of the Super Rugby regular season! Our guys are in a good position – finishing at the top of the Australian conference after beating the Waratahs.
