10 – ANU Toddler’s Prom

A concert for children aged 2-8 that gives kids a chance to experience music performed by a live ensemble in a fun and interactive way, including the opportunity to conduct a real orchestra or try a musical instrument. There’ll be plenty of well-known tunes to get everyone up on their feet!

8 – Strictly Ballroom the Musical

Watch the 1992 film come to life in this spectacular musical by the Canberra Philharmonic Society! It tells the story of a championship ballroom dancer who defies the rules and follows his heart, to end up finding his true calling and his true love. Head along to support not only the Canberra Vikings against the Sydney Rays but also a good cause! As part of the charity round, the Vikings are supporting the Leukaemia Foundation by fundraising and raising awareness on game day, so be sure to keep an eye out for the donation buckets! There’s heaps to see and do during the last weekend of Floriade 2017.
