10 – AMB 100 Mountain Bike Marathon

Join locals and mountain bikers from around Australia take on the Stromlo trails on a giant monster circuit! A great way to spend an Autumn morning while taking in Canberra’s spectacular views. There’s a range of lap options and courses to choose from, including 33km, 66km, 100km or 100 miles. If you’re not much of a bike rider, head along to show your support! There’ll also be kids races, activities and yummy food.

8 – GWS Giants vs Fremantle Dockers

7 – Mt Stromlo Observatory Site Tour

Learn about one of Canberra’s oldest sites that’s rich in history. The Mount Stromlo Observatory has been carrying out astronomical observations for over 100 years and has grown into one of the great observatories. It’s weathered two devastating bushfires and earned a Nobel Prize!

6 – Googong’s A Fishing Fair

Whether you’re a serious angler or just looking for a fun way to get the kids outside – this event’s for you! Fishing Australia’s Rob Paxevanos will team up with local fishing expert and wildlife filmmaker Roman Dicovski and celebrity chef Mark Olive, for a free pond-to-plate experience. A great day for the whole family with lots of free fishing and environment-related activities! Also a chance to learn how to take care of the Googong Dam and still have fun!

5 – Thank You Canberra – Rainbow Party

Everyone’s invited to this free marriage equality celebration! It’ll feature Australia’s biggest rainbow painted on the grassy Events Terrace, rainbow kites, a live DJ, face painting, gourmet BBQ, food, drinks and more. Plenty of selfie opportunities!

3 – Auto Italia

You won’t want to miss this annual showcase of Italian automotive design. Hundreds of exceptional cars, motorbikes and scooters will gather in Canberra to celebrate Italian motoring history. 2 – Canberra Raiders vs Parramatta Eels

The Raiders have won the last seven matches at home against the Eels – let’s cheer them on to their 8th! Our guys are also aiming for their fourth straight win over Parramatta at any venue, and are going for back to back wins after beating the Bulldogs in round five.
