10 – AMB 100 Mountain Bike Marathon

Join locals and mountain bikers from around Australia take on the Stromlo trails on a giant monster circuit! A great way to spend an Autumn morning while taking in Canberra’s spectacular views. There’s a range of lap options and courses to choose from, including 33km, 66km, 100km or 100 miles. If you’re not much of a bike rider, head along to show your support! There’ll also be kids races, activities and yummy food.

7 – Mt Stromlo Observatory Site Tour

Learn about one of Canberra’s oldest sites that’s rich in history. The Mount Stromlo Observatory has been carrying out astronomical observations for over 100 years and has grown into one of the great observatories. It’s weathered two devastating bushfires and earned a Nobel Prize!

6 – Googong’s A Fishing Fair

Whether you’re a serious angler or just looking for a fun way to get the kids outside – this event’s for you!
