10 – Watson Preschool: Winter Wonderland Fete
Feast on cupcakes and bake stall goodies with a coffee or two. Savour the sausage sizzle and buy a book or three. There’ll be lots of fun activities like face painting and dance shows by Lucy Sparkles, as well as the lucky dip and jumping castle. A great way to entertain the kids on the first day of winter and support the community at the same time.

9 – Mini Festival of Classical Music
What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon then listening to classical music as you take in the sunset over Lake Tuggeranong. Hear some of Canberra’s finest up and coming young musicians in the opening concert (3.30-4.30pm) followed by the main concert (5.00pm) featuring the celebrated New England Ensemble and guests performing a program of classical favourites.

8 – ICW: Chill Factor

7 – Pets in the Park
All people and pets are invited to head down for an afternoon party to celebrate your neighbourhood and the animals that live in it. There will be fundraising opportunities available for the RSPCA. This event is being organised by the Mingle Team for the residents of Wright and Coombs. Enjoy live music, coffee and food cans, as well as a pop up bar!

5 – TNA Turns Pink
TNA Turns Pink is a huge fundraising day based around a continuous netball game. There will be food stalls, monster raffles, photo booths, visits from emergency services and more. Teams, often in fancy dress, challenge friends, colleagues, family etc to a 12 min social netball match as part of the continues game. No experience needed. Be part of an attempt for a word record for most players in a netball exhibition match, while raising money for Marymead and Bosom Buddies ACT.

4 – Canberra Lakeside Scavenge
Do you like getting out in nature? Listening to live music? Cleaning up trash, learning about conscious consumerism and hanging out with passionate individuals who are out to make a change? The scavenge is a litter clean-up where your trash, once sorted, becomes the currency in a pre-loved market to purchase the funkiest of threads, books, toys and more that have been donated by local community!

1 – Perisher opens early!
Good news for local skiers and snowboarders! Thanks to a larger than expected dumping of fresh snow this week, Perisher is opening a week early! Staff are expecting a cracker weekend with the best early opening conditions in years! Front Valley will be open for skiing and boarding with the Village Eight Express making its debut, and a carpet will be running too for the beginners.
