7 – Meet Patty Mills
Meet one of Canberra’s sports stars – Aussie basketballer and US San Antonio Spurs player, Patty Mills! Patty is a triple Olympian, the only Indigenous Australian to win an NBA championship and currently represents the Australian Boomers. He’s helped create a series of books called ‘Game Day’ which aim to inspire kids to achieve their goals through sport. Get an autograph and photo!

6 – Santa Speedo Shuffle
Dust off your speedos and join the Shuffle to help raise money for Canberrans living with cystic fibrosis. Join dozens of Santas as they descend on Lake Burley Griffin to run the western basin as many times as possible in 65 minutes. For those less daring, there’s also a 5km fun run. The event wraps up with a Christmas in July themed festival at the Southern Cross Yacht Club.
