8 – Australian Beard Day

Watch as Canberra’s best beard gets decided at King O’Malley’s! Do you know a bloke with a beard? If so, tell them to get in the running – there’s lots of prizes! Categories include longest beard, full beard, styled beard, partial beard, moustache, best beard in costume and Canberra’s Best Beard! There’ll also be live entertainment from 1pm! All money raised goes to White Ribbon Australia.

7 – Kids Cushion Concert

BYO cushion for the little ones to sit on and get ready for a morning of fun and shenanigans! Comedian Sean Murphy will create the party for adults and kids aged 5-12. You’ll laugh till your tummy hurts and learn how to tie a balloon sword! Sean’s show of stand-up and storytelling educates and entertains!

6 – Science Week

There’s still lots to see and do in Canberra for the remainder of Science Week! Among the spectacular events is Strictly Science. This one is just for the adults! Some off Canberra’s most fabulous performers join renowned scientists explaining what on earth – or in space – they are doing. Learn astronomy with Dr Brad Tucker and blowing things up with Dr Graham Walker – to name a couple!

5 – John I Dent Cup Grand Final

The peak of the club rugby season kicks off on Saturday at Viking Park as the 2017 Champions will be decided across six grades. Canberra Royals and Wests will go head to head and play for the John I Dent Cup. There’s also plenty of interest in the lower grade comps! A great day of footy.

4 – Freyja’s Footloose Fundraiser
Head along to help raise funds for A Cure for Freyja – A Mother’s Story. Five-year-old Freyja’s family are trying to raise money to send her overseas for urgent cancer treatment. Local artists will provide some great entertainment, including The Voice’s Amber Nichols! Tickets include finger food.

1 – Raiders vs Panthers

Expect plenty of fireworks when the Panthers take on the Raiders at GIO Stadium! Penrith will be looking for revenge after the Raiders knocked them out of the finals last season.
