10) NatureArt Lab

Canberra’s botanic art studio, NatureArt Lab, is offering short courses and workshops for the budding or experienced artist! Students can learn to use watercolour, coloured pencils, ink, pen and more while immersing themselves in science and nature studies. This Sunday, Canberrans can look at nature and find their inspiration in a natural world journaling workshop. Students will learn to observe nature in a new light and use a variety of drawing skills to create their own art journal. There’ll also be other courses in February and March.

8) Tennis Canberra Open Day and Bushfire Fundraiser

Canberrans of all ages are invited to this great event to raise much needed funds for WIRES (Wildlife Rescue) and the NSW RFS. There’ll be free junior and adult skills sessions, open court social adult sessions and more!

7) Bushfire Relief Benefit Concert

The Concert is a fundraising event with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal, to raise money for Australians affected by the devastating bushfires. The show will feature performances from dance studios across Canberra, as well as musical performances from local musicians.

6) 4WD Spectacular

With over 170 exhibitors, check out the latest 4WD vehicles, off road caravans and camper trailers, fully equipped touring and off road vehicles, 4WD accessories and ACT & Regional 4WD Club displays. 5) By the Water Concert with Dami Im

Experience Eurovision royalty with an unmissable performance by X Factor winner, Dami Im! Chill out to the relaxed country strains of ARIA chart-topper, Caitlyn Shadbolt, as the sun sets over the city. When the stars come out, be swept away as Dami Im brings her unique contemporary style to the stage. There’ll also be local food vans and a cash bar. A great way to spend a summer night in the capital!

4) Bungendore Country Music Muster

This all Australian Country Music Festival celebrates its 35th anniversary with a fantastic weekend of country music. Among the performers – Pete Denahy and the Travelling Country Band performing Slim Dusty songs, Roo Arcus, Peter Coad and the Coad Sisters, Owen Blundell, Red Poole and Terry Gordon, Keith Jamieson with Alisha Smith and Caitlyn Jamieson, Ernie Constance, Di Lindsay and Peter Simpson, Brian Letton, Laura Downing, Graham Rodger and Anita Ree, Justin Standley, Col Hardy and Greg Bain. There’ll also be the SignFlair Busking Competition with $1000 in prize money up for grabs.

2) UC Capitals vs Adelaide Lightning

Join the reigning WNBL champions, the UC Capitals, for the final round of the regular season as they take on the Adelaide Lightning. Adelaide’s just below the Caps on the ladder, so it’s expected to be a competitive match. 1) Women’s T20

Enjoy a big weekend of cricket at Manuka Oval in the Women’s T20, with the Australian squad going in as the favourites! The Aussie take on England on Saturday then India on Sunday. Saturday is Indigenous Reconciliation Day, with the teams and crowd to take part in a small ceremony to recognise and celebrate the original owners of the land.
